St Luke’s COVID19 Update – November 2020

Dear friends,

As you will no doubt be aware the UK has entered a second national lock-down this week as the Coronavirus continues to spread and put pressure on our healthcare system. Above all else please can I urge you to pray for our nation at this time and to work to keep yourself and your household safe and well.

At present the government guidelines state that all services except funerals are suspended for the period of the lock-down (currently the 2nd of December). This therefore means that we will all be moving to Church at Home services for this coming season and all in-person services will be suspended.

Our Church at Home service is made available every Sunday on YouTube from 9:45am with prayer, songs, Bible readings and talk, and Holy Communion and lasts about 35 minutes. Following this we meet at 11am for about an hour on Zoom for a time of conversation and prayer. Kirstyn is also providing a Sunday School at Home pack for families to use.

We also have our Facebook groups and WhatsApp group where we can encourage each other, share prayer requests and find out the latest news.

Please can I urge you to get involved in these services and groups if you are not currently and are able to. It is important to continue to feed our faith in Jesus especially when we can’t meet together normally. To join the groups:

WhatsApp: text me on 07774516204 with your name so I can add you

Facebook: we can be found on @stlukes70 or @StMarksDownham

YouTube: Search for RevNickWalsh or use the link provided each week

Packs for Children: please contact Kirstyn via email: asdoutreach.stluke@gmail.com

If you can’t do any of the above or if you would like to talk or pray or request support, please contact Rev. Nick – 07774516204 or revnickwalsh@gmail.com

Obviously things may change as the lock-down situation changes, so please do keep an eye on our groups.

Grace and Peace
